Hello everyone!! We are the Frankel family. My name is Mia Frankel and my parents adopted me as a newborn. My dad worked for the first 5 years of my life, but became ill with a disability called chronic fatigue. He became unable to to work from then on, and my mom started working as a nurse at a nursing / rehabilitation home. She has always been a caring nurturing mom despite having to be at work for 12 hours a day. I am the youngest child of 4, and I have always dreamed of retiring my parents. Money has always been a huge stress in our home. I am now 25, and have an autoimmune disease called crohn’s disease. i have been diagnosed since I was 17. I am unable to work (although i have tried to in various restaurants throughout the years and through my social media content) long term due to my illness. The reason as to why I am creating a GoFundMe account is because my sister and her husband have a one year-old daughter, and have been financially struggling while having to pay for the expenses of a child along with the cost of rent. My parents and I currently live together in a 55 and up community, but my parents have been struggling very much financially, so we decided that maybe if we joined forces and look for a house where we could all live in, the financial struggle will lighten up on all of us. Unfortunately the mortgage on houses monthly payment is still incredibly high for the amount that we are able to get a loan for. With that being said, we’ve been looking for the right house for us ever since July of 2025 and the main thing that has been stopping us from finding something in a good area is finances. My sister and her husband only have until March until their lease is up. it is really hard to find a good house that fits all of our needs. We are specifically looking for a house with a mother-in-law suite that does not require any stairs to get to because my mom has really bad knees. Also as my parents get older, stairs on their side of the house would not be an option. My parents are very religious people, as well as my sister and her husband, they don’t know that I’m even creating this GoFundMe account. They wouldn’t want me to ask for help. Although we’ve been asking God for help throughout the years, I believe that God works through people, and people help each other. Even a fraction of the amount that I’m asking for would help. Anything would help to put towards the house or for general monthly bills for medication and medical services that I need to do for my Crohn’s disease (colonoscopies, CT scans, etc.). We do have insurance under my mom’s work, but it’s not very good and doesn’t always cover everything that needs coverage. I would also like to include here that something that would help us tremendously financially is going to my social media and just liking, commenting, or sharing a few of my videos.
