Hello everyone. My mother was brought into the ER yesterday for abnormal behavior, facial drooping, MVA, texting difficulties, etc. She got tests done and found out she has a brain tumor on her brain that’s affecting her memory, communication skills, and ability to operate a motor vehicle. She is now scheduled for a craniotomy tomorrow morning at Mass General to remove the tumor.
The recovery process is unclear due to underlying medical conditions, and we are unsure when she will be able to work again. As most know, medical emergencies come with high costs, time out of work and unfortunately bills don’t stop just because emergencies strike. The surgeon said she could be out for weeks depending on how the surgery goes. My mom’s car is currently in the shop, and our rent is due by the end of the week on July 25th, which is $2,725. Myself and my stepdad cannot afford this amount ourselves on top of other utilities that are past due.
If you know Sherry, she is a generous person and would do anything for family or friends. My mom should not have to stress over finances or getting back to work while she’s trying to get the medical care she needs. Anything can help during this uncertain and difficult time.
