Please Help Ease Sara's Burden

To know Sara is to love her. Those of us who do would like to keep her around for as long as we can. And in the immediate term, perhaps help to lighten her load: the worry of medical costs and lost income while she awaits - and ultimately receives - treatment for her cancer and life-saving bone marrow transplant.
Between medical costs and lost income, Sara will be out something in the region of $60,000. She had to leave her job - a new job - at the end of March 2025, because the severity of her cytopenia (a kind of cancer that presents as chronic anemia) left her unable to summon enough energy to perform in it. Her employers are not obliged to pay her, nor hold her job for her; luckily they have agreed to do the latter.
Apparently, one of the things that helps make a good fundraising page is to explain where the money we're raising will go. Sara's financial reserves have already been drained, and there will be no income until she is well enough to work again.
Imagine piling money worries on top of feeling sick and exhausted and frightened and you'll have a pretty good idea about how the money will be used. We're raising it to keep Sara hopeful, fed and a little bit more zen than if she were, you know...broke.
Please give what you can.
Thanks,
Valerie, one of those people who love Sara
