Join Us in Easing Amanda's Cancer Journey

My sister, Amanda has recently been diagnosed with Invasive Breast Carcinoma. She is HER-2 negative, so it is slow growing. Amanda will need surgery after her MRI and genetic testing. With these results, they will help guide the surgeon on the best treatment options for her.
Amanda is an amazing wife, mother and teacher. She dedicates all her time to helping others. Lets do the same and help out this amazing family.
This diagnosis has brought unexpected challenges, both emotionally and financially. Over the last year there has been multiple surgeries for her son William due to him breaking his arm during BMX racing. The family has been paying for his medical bills which totals around $14,000. Her husband James has also had surgery recently. With Amanda’s added treatment and upcoming surgery they are really struggling and in need of help. That is why we are asking for your help, to ease some of the burden, allowing Amanda and her family to focus on healing and being together.
As she finds out more of her plan of care and surgery, I will keep this updated.

This week's update:
Amanda has met with the surgeon, oncologist and radiation specialist. The surgeon wants to do an MRI to take a more in depth look. They want to make sure there cancer has not spread and there is no other lumps. That is scheduled for the 27th and another appointment with the surgeon on the 28th.
Today she had 2 viles of blood taken for the genetic testing. The breast portion will be about 7-10 days.
The radiation specialist does not think she will need chemo just radiation. But this outcome could change by MRI and when the surgery is completed and based on what the path report states.

Another update:

Amanda had her MRI yesterday and today she met with the surgeon again. The MRI showed only the 1 lump which she is thankful for.
Her surgery is scheduled for July 3. Will be an outpatient procedure. Radiation will start about a month after the procedure.
Doctor is still waiting for genetic testing to come back. As for now this is thei plan.
They want to thank you all for the thoughts and generosity so far. We will keep everyone updates as we know more.

Update:

Amanda is just over a week away from her surgery. Last week she went in and had the surgery clip put in so it's easier to see the lump.
Her genetic testing did come back negative, which is amazing news!
Again, they thank you all for thoughts and generosity.
