Dogland is MOVING and EXPANDING, and We Need Your Help!

Great news!
Arie's Dogland is moving, expanding, and ready to offer even more than ever, including overnight boarding!
In our new space, we will continue to offer our infamous playgroup, grooming, and training, as well as boarding! In addition, we will also have "day play" for dogs who are new, in different outdoor activity spaces, with a person instead of with other dogs, making this a space where all dogs are allowed! The new space is about the same square footage as we currently have, but it has an acre of outdoor space, where we can do magic. About seven minutes north of Dogland, at Osuna and Jefferson, is 6801 Washington Street NE, 87109.
Arie's Dogland has long been limited in the number of dogs we can help. Now though, we are ready to go big and will be able to help so many more dogs and puppies in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho area, and what these dogs need is simple: Play, exercise, and engagement. We want every dog to be able to go somewhere during the day to have fun and get the exercise and stimulation they need, regardless of their sociability towards other dogs. In these attraction spaces, each dog will have individual time and attention from their human play pal, then take time to rest in between play/attraction spaces, to ensure their fun and safety and all times. Our new home will offer opportunities for dogs to play fetch/Frisbee with their person, an obstacle yard for exercise and mental stimulation, a "nature garden" to sniff and explore in, recall yards ("Fast Lanes") for intense sprinting exercise, and a "splash pad" in the warmer months, just to name a few.
In regards to the boarding you have all been asking for, we have listened. We will have cameras on all rooms for our team to supervise, and the boarding pods will all be purposely designed to let the dogs have relaxed, peaceful, low-stress boarding environments. With our system of each and every dog getting plenty of exercise and stimulation each day, we want every dog to rest well at night and be happy to awaken there with us the next day. Our boarding will also have a person on staff overnight, ready to be available should any dog guest need anything at any time - day or night.
We are thrilled to be the creators of this space, and we're so excited to get started, but we need your help. Unfortunately "post-Covid circumstances" have not allowed Dogland to fund this on its own, and the SBA loan we attempted to secure to buy the property didn't line up, so we will lease the space instead and still have the option to buy it as soon as we can. Our current lease ends in February. While it may be true that we don't have much time currently, Arie has been working on plans for something like this for more than two years now, and everything has come into place in the last several months. Instead of staying in our current location for a couple more years as we originally planned, the timing now aligns for the "big picture" to finally happen.
We need funds to move and build out our indoor playgroup yards, cover some of our now much-higher payroll to get started, and other basic initial expenses to begin. Mainly though, we need to build everything we need outside - including the boarding pods, fenced and covered outdoor exercise spaces, turfed areas, and more.
You are invited to join us on December 14th at Dogland from 2pm-3:30pm for our fundraising event and TEN YEAR birthday bash! At this event, you will have the fundraising options to purchase a bricks or paw prints for outside, canvas photo of your dog to forever be in Dogland's new lobby (courtesy of Miranda), participate in silent auctions for playgroup, boarding, and training packages, and mainly, opportunities for space sponsorship and naming (such as "Phoebe's Obstacle Yard" or "Teddy's Nature Garden"). The silent auctions will be begin at Dogland on December 9th, and end with the winners being announced at the event on the 14th. Stop by to see more of our vision in the new space, ask questions, and enter your dog's name in a drawing for free playgroup days, training, and grooming services. We can't wait to see you there and tell you all about what the future holds for us in our new space - which we will get the keys for in January if we can make this happen together.
Email us to RSVP if you think you can join us, or tell us in person the next time we see you!
[Note: Due to there being lots of cake, food, and excitement, people only at this party, please!]
We are so pumped to let you in on this secret that we've been working on for so long, and the time has finally come. Can you help, and/or share this with five dog-lovers that you think might be interested in this new, bigger, better Dogland? If so, we have no doubt that we can do this together, and make this happen for our four-legged best friends.
Are you ready? We are.
Let's do this.
