Join Us in Creating a Unique Music Video

Story

Hello! I am Michael Taylor, and I'm releasing music this year under the moniker Michael Fathoms. This funding project specifically is for a music video I will be shooting in Los Angeles with my friend Salina Hernandez, who is directing & producing the video. Salina will be pulling together a small and powerful cast and crew to help bring this music video to life, so donating to this project will help make sure I may fully compensate their efforts. At base, we hope to have a $5K budget that roughly breaks down along these lines: $1K to rent a good camera $1K for location/fees $1K wardrobe/makeup/art dept. supplies $1K food, drinks, etc. to keep cast & crew happy $1K to pay folks for their time These are rough breakdowns, and I hope to raise more than the $5K so I may better compensate the cast, crew, and our director. No money will be kept by me, and any area that ends up needing less money than expected means more money to the cast/crew. The video will tell the story of a person who goes to audition for the Afterlife, facing fears of being rejected and cursed to Oblivion. Doing creative things is scary and weird and fun and exciting, and we would be so honored and blessed to have your support. Whatever you can contribute would go towards helping realize this little dream <3<3<3 --- Now about the song :) The song is a provocatively titled track on my forthcoming album Bye Bye American Pie in the Sky, which was recorded and funded DIY. If you know me, you know I have a penchant for somewhat irreverent humor and a taste for the sacrilegious (ex-Catholic). And that is why the song for this video is titled All Good Cunts Go To Heaven. It is a song that deals with religious trauma, the power of dreaming, a loss of faith, faulty attempts to find and assert self-worth, and—of course—selling one's soul to rock'n'roll. Among other things! I daresay it is my most spiritual song on the record, and I genuinely cannot wait to share it with you. Thank you for your time and consideration. As ever, -Michael

  • $1K food, drinks, etc. to keep cast & crew happy
  • $1K to pay folks for their time

These are rough breakdowns, and I hope to raise more than the $5K so I may better compensate the cast, crew, and our director. No money will be kept by me, and any area that ends up needing less money than expected means more money to the cast/crew.

Now about the song :)

The song is a provocatively titled track on my forthcoming album Bye Bye American Pie in the Sky, which was recorded and funded DIY.

As ever,
-Michael
