Kathryn was a kind, sweet soul that brought joy to many. She was an advocate for animals and talented musician.

Kathryn died in her apartment above Checkpoints in New Orleans on August 21, 2025. Years ago Kathryn had shared her wish with her sister Alison to have a secondline parade to be held in her honor upon her death.

Kathryn's sisters in Colorado, Chrysta and Alison, are planning a secondline parade for her celebration of life in early 2026.
