Hi, my name is Elizabeth but my Uncle Carl just calls me Bit-Bug.

Please join in helping us to raise funds to benefit my Uncle Carl Verwey. On the 6th of March, 2025, Carl suffered a Severe Ischemic Brainstem Stroke that has left him in the hospital and under medical supervision ever since. His recovery will be a long and hard road. He has needed, and will continue to need around the clock, medical care for the next 1 to 5 years. He will also need special medical devices in order to aid in his recovery, such as a wheelchair, a walker, a special medical bed, and other devices if he is ever to return home. Since suffering this severe stroke, he is having to learn how to talk and walk all over again. Carl has been unable to work in any capacity and has suffered a massive loss of income as a result. This GoFundMe is to raise funds to benefit his medical needs for the future as well as cover some of the recent loss of income.
