Join Us in Caring for Vera During Treatment

Hello, my name is Amanda, and I am creating this fund on behalf of my mom, Vera.

For those of you who know my mom, she is a ray of sunshine. She is, and I'm not exaggerating, the sweetest and most caring person I know. She loves to help others, is always seeing the positives in life, and (almost) always has a smile on her face. She is a joy to all who are lucky to know her.

Mom loves her family dearly, including her 9 sisters and brothers spread across the world, her mom in Brazil, and her daughters. Mom is probably most known for her love of us four girls (Rebecca, Amanda, Hannah, and Sarah). She loves watching movies, video chatting, and traveling to visit us. She is also a sporty person, and enjoys activities like tennis, volleyball, and long walks.

Life has been hard in the last 2 years, mourning family members who have passed, supporting our aunt through her own breast cancer journey, and just everyday hardships, but recently we were heartbroken to learn that she also has breast cancer. Stage 2 Invasive Breast Cancer.

In typical fashion, my mom is handling her cancer battle with grace and a ferocious strength that inspires me daily, but she needs help. The medical costs associated with treatment, her upcoming surgery, medications, and changes in diet will start to add up as she progresses through her 10 month treatment plan.
