Join Us in Assisting Maria's Recovery Efforts

My name is Fernando Suarez, and I’m organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of Christopher Bitetto and his mother, Maria Bitetto, whose life has been deeply impacted by Hurricane Helene, which recently devastated Sarasota, Florida. Our community is coming together to support Maria as she faces the difficult journey of rebuilding her life.

Hurricane Helene struck on September 26, 2024, hitting Florida’s Gulf Coast with unprecedented force. The storm caused historic surges that flooded entire neighborhoods, including Maria’s hometown of Sarasota, which was one of the hardest-hit areas. Her condominium was severely damaged, taking on over four feet of water.

As a result, Maria lost her home and all her belongings, leaving her without a safe place to stay. She is currently living in a temporary motel and dealing with mounting expenses as she tries to recover. Like so many others in her community, she’s struggling to rebuild her life after such an overwhelming loss.

We are raising funds to help Maria cover her immediate needs, including housing, transportation, and replacing essential items like clothing and groceries. Every donation will go directly toward helping Maria recover and giving her the support she desperately needs.
