As many of you already know, Dennis and my mom (Pam) have had a real shitty 2024. So far though, 2025 is showing significant signs of progress! The effects of a brain bleed are devastating, if you even survive. We have no idea what Den’s future looks like, but we do know we’re going to fight and support in any way we can. He’s smart, hard-working, dedicated, loyal, stubborn, kind, generous, and one heck of a smart ass! He would give his last dollar, or cookie, if anyone needed it. He’s been at this new facility in Oak Harbor for a week and he’s made tremendous strides. He’s starting to talk, using his hands/arms more, eating solid foods, drinking liquids, and even standing assisted for short periods of time.

All this aside, progress this great and therapy this intense costs money and insurance sucks. Because his last facility documented he wasn’t making any progress (they were awful), insurance denied continued coverage. That means my mom is having to pay OUT OF POCKET $324/day!!! For those of us who suck at math, that’s $9720/month! That’s just absurd!

Anything, truly anything, will help this long journey ahead. My mom and Dennis truly thank each and every one of you for your continued love and support.
