We are a group of friends of Barbie Hawk who want to help her with some medical expenses. Barbie is in immediate need of a knee replacement, which will require her to be off work for an extended period of time. While she has insurance coverage for the surgery, she needs help with living expenses while she is recuperating and unable to work. The longer this surgery is delayed, the more difficult the recovery will be, so we are encouraging Barbie to act with urgency. If we can raise $5000 quickly, she can schedule the surgery in the next few months.
