Zumbathon for Target Ovarian Cancer
For Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month this March, we're back again for another Zumbathon to raise funds and awareness for Target Ovarian Cancer, a charity that has been instrumental in supporting individuals like me, educating healthcare professionals, and raising awareness.
I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 31, and my experience has inspired me to give back and spread awareness about this condition. I’m especially motivated to organise this event in honour of my dear friend Gill, who is living with advanced-stage ovarian cancer and absolutely loves to dance. She has shown incredible strength throughout her journey, and I hope this event can bring some of that same energy and spirit to others who are affected by ovarian cancer.
I’ll be instructing alongside my good friend Aaron and several other talented Zumba instructor friends—it’s sure to be a party atmosphere as we dance for a great cause! The event is designed for Zumba lovers, people who love music and dancing, and anyone who thinks it sounds like fun. Whether you feel like dancing or just want to come and support, everyone is welcome!
Target Ovarian Cancer funds life-saving research, raises awareness about the symptoms of ovarian cancer, campaigns for policy changes, and provides crucial support to those diagnosed. Your donations will help fund these important initiatives, as well as empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge they need to spot the signs early and save lives.
There’s no set charge to join in—donate whatever you can. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference in supporting this vital cause. Feel free to donate through this link, or bring cash on the day.
Date: Sunday 2nd March
Time: 10.30am til 12
Location: Hope Park Sports Centre, Liverpool Hope University, Liverpool L16 9JQ
Let's dance, raise awareness, and fund a brighter future for those impacted by ovarian cancer. Thank you for your support!
