Are you ready for a new challenge? We are. And we’re climbing Mount Kenya for girls’ education.
Last year, our community came together and did something powerful. We climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and raised over $21,000 to support girls’ education through AKHRI Mothers & Daughters Literacy. Those funds helped provide real materials, real resources, and real opportunities for women and girls who deserve access to education.
This year, we’re not slowing down.
We’re doing it again. Bigger team, fresh energy, and a similar mission.
In May, a group of eight climbers will be taking on Mount Kenya to continue this work and grow its impact.
Every dollar raised goes straight to AKHRI’s work on the ground, funding things like school supplies, learning materials, and literacy programs for girls and women in Somaliland. There’s no middle layer here. Your support turns directly into resources.
We’re climbing because access to education still isn’t guaranteed, and it should be. Every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow, and choose her own future.
We’re training for the climb and covering our own gear and expenses. If you choose to donate, your money doesn’t go toward the hike itself. It goes straight to AKHRI’s programs and the work they do with women and girls.
We would love for you to follow the journey and be part of it.
