On June 9, 2025, my dad, Jerry Beam, was diagnosed with stage two non-small cell adenocarcinoma lung cancer. He has already had several tests/procedures done and several doctor's appointments, each one ranging from $40-$475 in copays that we haven’t been able to pay. He will have lots more in the coming months.
My dad is retired and on a fixed income. I'm in the process of trying to help him get state insurance. I want my dad to be able to focus on beating this and staying healthy during the treatments. As of right now, there are two possible treatments. The first option is chemo and surgery, and the second option is chemo and radiation. We meet with the surgeon on June 20 to see if he is a candidate for surgery. He also has an appointment on June 23 to have a PIC line put in, and he has an MRI scheduled for the 29th to make sure the cancer hasn’t spread to his brain. Regardless of which treatment option he's able to do, there will be a lot of expenses between medications, appointments, procedures, and gas. So if anyone is able to help donate, our family will be forever grateful. I will post updates on his health and treatments, etc., being done on here.
