Every day, older Americans lose millions of dollars to scams. Criminals now use artificial intelligence, deepfake voices, convincing emails, fake websites, and realistic text messages to deceive their victims. Despite the growing threat, America has no standardized educational program that teaches seniors how to recognize and avoid these attacks before they happen.

We believe that must change.

Just as public education prepares young people with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate society, today's seniors need practical training to safely navigate an increasingly digital world.

A Different Approach

TSS Foundation has developed SATA (Scam Awareness Training Application), a patent-pending educational platform that allows seniors to safely experience realistic scam scenarios before they encounter them in real life. Instead of simply reading about scams, participants learn by doing—building the confidence to recognize warning signs and avoid becoming victims.

But good ideas alone aren't enough.

Banks, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations want independent proof that scam prevention training actually improves people's ability to recognize and resist scams.

Help Us Validate the Research

To provide that proof, TSS Foundation is seeking support to conduct a 12-month independent university validation study involving approximately 200 participants.

The study will evaluate our Scam Awareness Performance Methodology (SAPM), which measures whether participants improve, how much they improve, which scam categories present the greatest challenges, and whether those improvements are retained over time.

If validated, this research could become the foundation for a standardized educational framework that senior centers, banks, libraries, community organizations, and government agencies can adopt nationwide.
