Help Troy Be Dad, Not a Patient
Support a devoted father, fiancé, and friend in his fight against stage 4 pancreatic cancer
My name is David Dunham, and I’m Troy’s best friend. I’ve stood by him every step of the way during this heartbreaking journey. Hannah, his fiancé, and Tracy, his younger brother, and I were all sitting with Troy when the doctor delivered the devastating diagnosis:
terminal Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
At first, there was hope. Troy had been scheduled for the Whipple procedure, a major surgery that might have extended his life. But just two weeks before the operation, a PET scan revealed the cancer had spread—to his lymph nodes, stomach lining, and beyond. That ruled out surgery and radiation. The prognosis was terminal.
Troy was given six months to live without treatment, and possibly up to a year with chemotherapy. After deep reflection and honest talks with his doctors and loved ones, Troy made the incredibly brave decision to undergo chemotherapy, even knowing how hard it will be. For Troy, even a few more months with his children and fiancé are worth fighting for.
He is now unable to work, and is using what strength he has left to focus on what truly matters: his fiancé Hannah, and their two young children—Winter (age 7) and Storm (age 2½).
Troy is an avid outdoorsman who’s always loved sports and competition. He’s lived his life with grit, passion, and heart—and he’s not going down without swinging.

️ A Friend, A Father, A Fighter
Troy isn’t giving up. He’s choosing to fight—on his own terms—for time with the people he loves most. I’ve seen the courage in his eyes. I was there the day he heard the words no one should ever have to hear.
Please help however you can. Every donation, every share, and every message of support matters more than words can say. “This fundraiser is for Troy Skinner, and the funds are being managed by his younger brother Tracy.”
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dave Dunham and family.
