Hi everyone! Almost 6 years ago, Trace underwent multiple tests and procedures, including a bone marrow transplant, for a condition called ALD. Since then, Trace and his parents have been returning to the medical facility in Minnesota every 6 months for a check up, where he undergoes brain MRIs and bone marrow biopsies. Trace was doing as well as he could be until a few months ago when his blood count started dropping. This caused him to become tired and sleepy all the time, and he was unable to enjoy all the things a kid should be able to enjoy at his age. As a result, we flew back to Minnesota for another bone marrow biopsy, but this time his cells were abnormal. Now, Trace and his family are back in Minnesota for the next 4 months to undergo another bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy. However, ALD is not what he will be fighting this time. Trace has shown results of MDS, a precursor to leukemia. Please keep Trace, his parents, and the rest of his family in your prayers as he continues to fight this ugly disease. God’s strength and power is immeasurable, and we know He can do anything! Thank you in advance to anyone who supports Trace during this hard time! Everything is immensely appreciated.
