Join Toya's Fight: Stage 3 Cancer Costs

Hi everyone!!

I am Toya Kindle, a wife to a loving husband and mother of 2 beautiful young ladies that I am very proud of. This year has been a tough one for everyone, so I’m hoping I can grasp your empathy with our/my story.

At the top of 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Colon Cancer. This was a hard blow for me to process and then relay to my family, but we’ve been diligent in fighting this privately. At the time of my diagnosis, I was employed full-time, but in February of this year, I lost my job of over a decade. We have since been relying solely on my husband's income, and while I am on his insurance, it does not cover the cost of treatment.

At my last appointment, I learned the cancer has progressed to Stage 3, which means a more aggressive treatment plan. My immediate family has been a major support and I’m beyond grateful for them. However, this new treatment plan is far more expensive than any of us can handle.

This is a vulnerable space for myself and my family, and I am still processing. But I know that with the help of my family and friends that I know love me, I will finish strong!
