My beautiful sister is fighting the battle of her life... and we need your generosity to get her to the finish line!
In 2024, she was diagnosed with a rare form of breast implant-associated cancer (BIA-ALCL). In most cases, this cancer has a great prognosis with removal of the implants. Unfortunately, Tori's cancer is the less common aggressive form and has migrated from the implant to her lymphatic system. She has completed 6 rounds of chemo, only to have the cancer fight back with a vengeance. In order to overcome this monster, she has relocated to MD Anderson Cancer Center for treatment.
As you can imagine, travel, lodging, inability to work during treatment, and ultimately the medical costs of ongoing treatment, surgery, and eventually a stem cell transplant are heavy burdens.
If you have the ability to help, every dollar counts and is greatly appreciated!
Tori is determined to beat this. When she does, she plans to begin a new journey of advocacy. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, approximately 300,000 breast implants are placed in the United States each year, with 70,000 of those being textured implants. In 2019, the FDA decided against banning textured implants, and they are still on the market today.
Please donate any amount; no donation is too small. If you are unable, we kindly ask that you help kick off Tori's next journey by educating a family member, friend, or any stranger on the street (yes, I've done it!) with breast implants. Awareness is the first step in saving lives.
