It is with great heartache that I, Govada Kanakadurga, am forced to set up this fundraiser for my 17-year-old son, Tejesh Govada.
The past months of Tejesh’s life have been filled with immense pain, courage, and hope. He is a young boy who dreams of growing up, pursuing his passions, and making a difference in the world. Watching him endure this battle at such a tender age has been heartbreaking, yet his courage inspires us every day to keep going. Tejesh was so excited to get into college and graduate.
What troubles my son?
Tejesh, a bright and loving young boy who was living his life like any other teenage boy, has been battling with High Risk B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) for the past 11 months.
It is a type of blood and bone marrow cancer that occurs when the bone marrow produces too many abnormal B-lymphocytes.
Tejesh was first diagnosed at American Cancer Care Hospital in Vijayawada, and since then, our world has turned upside down. We immediately began his treatments. Bone Marrow Transplantation is done at Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Hyderabad. Unfortunately within 3 months Bone Marrow relapsed.(Cancer cells have reappeared in the bone marrow, indicating a return of the disease). Despite enduring rounds of chemotherapy and other treatments, we are now at a critical juncture where his life depends on advanced treatment that we can no longer afford on our own. His condition requires CAR-T cell therapy and inotuzumab injections, a revolutionary but costly procedure, along with extensive supportive care. He is currently undergoing treatment at Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Hyderabad.

We are a family of six, with only one earning member, and we have already spent $50,000 on his treatment by depleting our savings and seeking help from friends and relatives. However, we still need an additional $70,000 to continue his treatment and give him a fighting chance to survive.
As a father, it is agonizing to see my child’s life at risk because of financial constraints. I am pleading with you to help us in this fight. No matter how small, every contribution will bring us closer to saving Tejesh. Your kindness can give him a chance to live, laugh, and come back home happily.
