Join Tina's Fight Against Breast Cancer

My name is Brittany Griggers and I am raising money for my mom, Tina Frey's, Breast Cancer journey. She is not one to ask for help or handouts, but her kids want to help support her as much as possible throughout the journey and know that treatment and healthcare bills add up, plus the amount of work that she will have to take off and miss. She plans to try and work through as much as she can. My mom is already a cancer survivor and this treatment regimen is a lot to take in. But she is a fighter.

She was recently diagnosed with stage IB/IIA invasive ductal carcinoma. She has had a CT scan of her chest, abdomen, and pelvis, as well as a bone scan which came back negative for metastasis. She also had a contrast-enhanced mammogram to determine exact size of the tumor. She got her port placed on Friday, January 10th and tomorrow Monday, January 13th, she has her first chemotherapy session in which they are doing a combination and aggressive treatment of Docetaxel, CArbopatin, Trastuzumab, and Pertuzumab. At this time, her treatment is expected to be:

-complete chemotherapy once every 3 weeks for the next 4.5 months

-surgery: lumpectomy and some lymph node extraction to test

-radiation

-oral medication x5 years
