Peace! My name is Timothy B., and I’m a muralist and cultural storyteller from Oakland, CA. My work centers Black history, liberation, and Afro-futuristic vision through public art. Over the past eight years, I’ve painted more than 70 murals across the Bay Area and beyond — always with the goal of uplifting community, reclaiming space, and honoring our narratives.
This year, I’ve been invited to participate in two major international mural festivals:
Chale Wote Street Art Festival in Accra, Ghana (Aug 15–24, 2025)
The Meeting of Styles Art Festival in Dakar, Senegal (Nov 24–30, 2025)
These opportunities are self-funded, and I’m reaching out to my community to raise $8,000 to help make this vision possible. Your support will cover:
Flights and lodging
Art supplies and materials
Local transportation and food
Emergency travel costs
The time and labor it takes to create two original public works abroad
These murals will be extensions of our stories — reflections of Oakland’s heart, Black resilience, and diasporic connection. I’m not just going to paint — I’m going to represent us.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
