Hello dear friends, family, neighbours, and colleagues,

A lovely international graduate student, Flavia, and her husband Fernando, received some excellent news earlier this year-- that they were pregnant. The timing was unexpected but the news was welcomed with great excitement, expecting the baby due this fall. But-- Agatha had plans-- she was not going to wait around until her expected arrival date....

She arrived more than 3 months early. Flavia had to be medivaced to Vancouver in June, and has been there since. Luckily, mom and babe are doing well but-- there is a long road left before they can come home as they are still there receiving care, treatment, and supervision. And, Fernando has to spend most of his time back here up north, working to support the family.

Everyone is far from home, and months away and apart are adding financial strain to the mix. If you are willing and able, please join me in being part of the village that supports Flavia, Fernando and Agatha while they are away, so that we might welcome them home sometime soon, with less stress and more relief.
