The Earth Day Plunge for Ocean Conservation

Donation protected
Hello there!

We're excited to share with you not just an event, but a movement. On April 21, 2024, at Devereux Beach, West Campus of UCSB, Santa Barbara, California, we invite you to be part of "The Plunge"—an event aimed at breaking the world record for the most people entering the ocean simultaneously. Our goal is bold: to surpass the 12th annual Polar Bear Plunge record of 3,500 participants and make history on the shores of California.

Why dive in? Our mission is deep: to elevate awareness of marine conservation, a crucial component of both our survival and future. "The Plunge" symbolizes our commitment to the ocean and its vital role in our world. By joining forces, we aim to make waves in the fight for a healthier planet.

But that’s not all. The funds raised through this campaign will launch our Youth Ambassador Program, a cornerstone of our initiative to grow, educate, and support the next generation of Ocean Warriors. This program will offer leadership training, guidance, and essential resources to empower young leaders to become passionate advocates for ocean conservation.

Participants will gain access to invaluable networking opportunities, project planning and execution experiences, and a pathway to a successful career in marine environmental preservation.

Here’s what you need to know about the event:

Date: April 21, 2024
Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the record-breaking plunge at 12:00 pm PST
Location: Devereux Beach, West Campus of UCSB, Santa Barbara, CA

In addition to the plunge, we'll have an educational booth, food trucks, T-shirt sales, and stickers to commemorate the day. Whether you can join us at the beach or support from afar, every contribution makes oceans of difference.
