The Story of ME

Since its inception in 2011, ME Dance has been a driving force in the burgeoning Central Florida arts community, creating an environment where professional dancers and students alike can cultivate their talent and artistry, and where innovative approaches to dance inspire growth in arts and entertainment.

ME Dance has expanded to partner with ME Theatre, a performing arts venue that gives local and international artists a platform to create and showcase their artistic talents. ME Dance School opened its doors in 2014 to provide students with an environment where they can learn and grow to their fullest potential as dancers.

The movement continues to gain momentum. Tuition and tax-deductible donations have helped ME Dance to:

Mount original shows, offering pre-professional dancers an opportunity to rehearse and perform with the professional company, Dance Theatre of Orlando.
Host the I Dance Orlando Festival and Orlando Tap Festival, giving performers from across the community an opportunity to showcase their talent.
Expand the breadth of ME Dance Outreach Programs MEGO.
The Elite Training Program, an intensive, full-time ballet program designed to train the next generation of dancers.
The Elite Ballet Company, O Town Taps Company ME1 Dance Company and ME2 Dance Company – exclusive opportunities for dancers to hone their craft through instruction, rehearsals and performances.
The Next Chapter

ME Dance has exciting plans to continue to expand its classes, festival and performance offerings … grow its programs and dance companies … add year-round and guest teaching artists … and provide opportunities and scholarships that help young people to move and be moved by the art of dance. The ongoing goal of ME Dance is to enrich the arts community by providing an outlet to feature talent in art through entertainment.
