The Washington Coast is suffering from careless humans.
Celebrating the 4th of July and littering the beaches with firework debris. Only to be covered by sand or swallowed by the tides.
On July 8, I went to Ocean shores and collected 50 gallons of firework debris and other trash within 100 ft of my truck.
Beach clean ups fuel my soul. It's rewarding work, but daunting at the same time. This recent mission to Ocean Shores got my wheels turning. It took me 4 hours to collect that amount. My heart yearns to cover more ground.
Creating a tool to tow behind my truck that filters the sand while collecting trash will increase the amount of garbage removed significantly.
My goal is to clean every drive on beach on the Washington Coast.
