Join the Mission: Inclusive Teaching Abroad

Hello family,

As many of you know, l've been working as a teacher at a charter school in Texas for the last 2-3 years. After the November election, I found myself both sad and hopeful for what lies ahead. In January of 2025, I made the decision to explore teaching opportunities abroad due to the uncertainty surrounding the future of the Department of Education in the U.S.

For years, l've worked hard to create a classroom that is welcoming, inclusive, and honest. However, after the election, I became fearful that the environment I've worked to build may no longer be possible. But rather than seeing it as the end of my journey, l've decided to race into the next chapter!

I am thrilled to share that in July of 2025, I will be moving to Costa Rica to teach abroad️. This opportunity is such an exciting adventure, and I couldn't be more grateful. I'll finally get to live the “pura vida" lifestyle that l've always dreamed of.

As my departure date is quickly approaching, I'm reaching out for a little help. I'm in need of support for my teaching certification and onboarding fees, and while I never ask for help, I would deeply appreciate any contributions you’re able to make to assist me with these costs.
