Joseph’s headed to El Salvador

WHATTUP Family!!

In 2014 & 2016 , Monica and I both had the opportunity to go through a discipleship program called Patmos, where you are challenged mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, where we lived out the theme verse 2 Corinthians 2:2 “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” We lived out this verse through overcoming simulated obstacles and growth.

It is indeed where the Lord used it to transform our lives, gave us new names, a deep desire for others to know our God, and desire to be discipled and walk in the way of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit!

We have always had a desire to go back to see how patmos is going. Recently, our friend reached out and asked us if we would pray and consider coming down and helping in the new English semester!

During our time in El Salvador I (Huram) was able to help launch their Spanish Patmos that’s still ongoing today, Praise God! Our time in El Salvador would include Huram teaching 3x a day and Discipling students. In the same way that the Lord transformed our lives through the Patmos program, we have a deep love and desire to continue the work that was started years prior and see how the Lord will move in the hearts of the students there.

Fun fact: the Lord used this program for Monica and I to meet. I was able to start the Spanish version and she went to the following term, yet still didn’t meet and then she met people from California that flew her out to visit and that’s where we met!! If she wouldn’t have gone to patmos we probably wouldn’t have met, but GOD!

Financially, we are praying for $10,000.00

To cover our passports for all the kids, Monica and I, for flights there and back (don’t worry we won’t stay) and a flight for one extra person to help us with the kids, and expenses back home as we will be there for 2-3 weeks, September 15-October 3
