Kelly and Aaron have asked that an update be given. So many have asked for a tool to show love and support for Jacoby! {LGM}

From Kelly: I thought I should give and update here and ask that you please continue praying for our kind, sweet, talented, Jacoby!

Here is the run down of Feb 17th...

Jacoby was complaining of back pain since his fall/concussion on February 1st. His primary doc ordered an x-ray on 16th to see if they missed a fracture from the fall. They sent us immediately to Colorado's largest children's hospital once they saw x-ray. They found what was described as a large cyst in his left lung.

Running more tests at the hospital including a CT scan. They found that he has a mass that has taken over 98% of his left lung and pushing into his right lung and other organs. It's super rare. They are assembling a team of doctors today to decide the best option. But it will require major surgery to remove it. Only then will it be tested to see with what we are fully dealing. The surgery will be major and he will be in the hospital afterwards for 10+ days.

Our Jacoby is 13, his vitals are stable and his right lung is very healthy so he was able to be discharged this morning to rest at home while they assemble his team of surgeons and specialists and schedule surgery in the next several days. What a trooper he has been!

Unfortunately, Children's Hospital is out of network for our insurance. But they have the best doctors and have actually seen this rare condition a few times in the last handful of years. We believe they are the right doctors and nurses to be caring for our sweet boy in this situation. So, we will do whatever it takes to afford his care there. We are trusting and believing in the power of prayer. Join with us for peace in our family, favor in the insurance situation, and wisdom for all the staff in the decisions they make for Jacoby.
