Help Us Bring Mission 16:24 to Japan

Hi friends! We’re Mike and Lucinda Helmick, along with our two boys, Nehemiah (6) and Ezekiel (3). As a family, we’ve been pursuing God’s call to share the Gospel in Japan through our ministry, Mission 16:24 — inspired by 1 Chronicles 16:24:

> “Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.”

Over the past few years, God has placed an undeniable burden on our hearts for the people of Japan—one of the least-reached nations in the world, where less than 2% of the population identifies as Christian.

After much prayer, we are stepping forward in faith to take a two-week trip to Japan this February.

Why We’re Going

This trip isn’t a vacation — it’s an essential step toward long-term ministry. During these two weeks, we’ll be:

Partnering with a local church in Tokyo to begin building relationships and exploring how we can serve alongside them.

Meeting with pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders to seek God’s direction for Mission 16:24’s next chapter.

Praying over the communities and neighborhoods where we believe God is calling us to serve.

Bringing our boys with us, because we believe this is a family calling — not just a personal one.

This trip is all about connection, preparation, and obedience — laying the foundation for what’s to come as we follow God’s leading to Japan.

Our Goal

We need to raise $15,000 to cover:

Round-trip flights for our family

Meals and public transportation while in Japan

Ministry-related and meeting expenses

Every single gift, no matter the amount, helps us take this crucial next step in our calling.
