Join the Fight to Bring Pam Home

 Update, May 2023

Our sweet Pam is getting better! Shes starting to sit by herself, and has begun physical rehab in earnest. After three months, she will finally be able to start the long journey back to walking. Medical bills, ambulance transports, different rehab facilities, co-pays, and the like are all coming in strong and fast. Your help in sharing the GoFundMe is so very much appreciated.  Your donations are keeping her afloat and enabling us to focus on recovery, not the stress of medical bills. Thank you all so much

 Dear friends and family,
We wanted to share some encouraging news with you about Pam's progress in her recovery journey. Mom is making strides, but her condition remains delicate. The medical team is working diligently to treat a small infection that has developed from one of the compound fractures in her right ankle. They are taking every precaution to ensure a swift recovery. For now, doctors have advised that she should not put any weight on her legs until the end of April.

Pam's mood is generally positive, but as you can imagine, she's been battling cabin fever. We ask that you continue to pray for her, that she will remain in good spirits and feel uplifted during this challenging time. Pam has a busy schedule of therapy sessions in the mornings, so if you'd like to give her a call, afternoons and evenings are the best times to reach her. Your support through phone calls, messages, and prayers has been invaluable in helping her stay strong.

As we continue on this journey, we kindly ask that you keep Pam in your prayers and, if you are able, consider contributing to her GoFundMe campaign. Your generous support will help cover medical expenses and aid in her ongoing recovery.

Thank you all for your love, prayers, and generosity. Together, we are making a difference in Pam's healing journey.

With heartfelt gratitude,
The Brownell Family

“Hello Friends and Family, mom is improving day by day! Thank you so much for your prayers and support! We have a much needed prayer request. The doctors have cleared Mom for a three day breathing trial to see if she’s able to breathe on her own. She is requesting lots of prayers that she is able to get solid, deep sleep so that she will have the strength to pass this trial with flying colors. If she is successful, the doctors will allow her tracheostomy to close up so that she can then breathe and speak by herself, and begin therapy training to start eating by herself. We love you all so much and we thank you for these much-needed prayers and support. We let mom know how much people are thinking about her and praying for her and she thanks you and prayers for you all. Love, The Brownells”

Hello Everyone,
We’re Pam’s kids and we just want to thank you all for getting us to this point- Into recovery! Your calls, prayers, texts, money… it’s made all this bareable.

Many of you know our mom and niece were in a very serious car accident, having been hit head-on at 100mph.

The velocity of the crash and the impact itself were devastating. Somewhere between 20-30 bones were broken; many of them compound fractures. The damage of the broken ribs penetrating both lungs has been the most acute concern and she now has a trachea, along with a voice-box speaker. Her surgeries have stabilized her for now, but there are more to go.

All that to say, she has a long road ahead of her. To add to the intensity of the crash, this happened while out of town on vacation. Not only are we looking at medical bills after insurance caps, deductables, co-pays, etc., we will also be renting her an apartment for when she gets into an outpatient program. My moms injuries will not allow for any type of journey back into New Mexico, so we’ll be commuting and possibly moving temporarily to Dallas.

There are so many ways to help right now. Firstprayer. Specifically over our moms caretakers, care facilities, environment, etc. Next, the posted goal is for everything over the next 6-9 months. If you can give any amount, please do.
OR
You can pick up a monthly bill. A phone bill, utility bill, partial monthly help with rent, etc. (just contact us personally through the attached email). Lastly, please keep us in mind and share this as much as possible accross all platforms.

We thank you all,
 The Brownells Family
