I'm a single father and volunteer firefighter.

I was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer (hairy cell leukemia) in February.

I have been out of work since this cancer battle started and the medical bills are piling up and savings is draining. Unfortunately, as a result of this cancer I also have blurred vision due to low platelet count allowing bleeding in the eyes (retinal hemorrhages). the doctor has not cleared me to go back to work yet as my immune system and vision have not fully recovered.
