Hello Family & Friends,
We are seeking financial assistance providing support for Nancy Sontag Crump & her family through the coming months.
In 2015 Nancy endured a 15 hour surgery to treat a rare form of cancer. She was incredibly blessed with a great team of surgeons. Recovery was long and grueling but with the help of family and friends Nancy and her boys (now 15 & 17) were well cared for. Thank you!
Unfortunately Nancy's cancer has returned. With the previous team of surgeons now spread throughout the country we had to begin the process of searching for another surgeon. The great news is that a doctor has been found who has performed many surgeries on her particular type of cancer. Nancy's surgery is scheduled for February.
The hospital is the Institute for Cancer Care at Mercy in Baltimore, MD. Nancy is expected to be there about a month. Recovery time from there is unknown, but we are expecting several months.
My wife, Lori (Nancy's sister) will be staying with Nancy in Baltimore for most of the time. We are also in the process of lining up friends who will be able to help. I will stay here in Richmond and care for Nancy's boys.
Most of you know that Nancy is a single mother - the boys father Bruce Crump passed away several years ago. The costs associated with a long stay in a hospital in another state are staggering. Nancy's insurance will only cover a portion of the cost of the surgery and hospital bill. There is also the cost of lodging and food for a support person staying near the hospital as well as taking care of the household bills while Nancy is recovering.
Please consider helping Nancy & her family financially as she enters surgery and then begins the long road back to health.
I am encouraging you to share this with friends & family through social media. To be frank, it is going to take a lot to get through this. Nancy and her boys are already dealing with the emotional aspects of cancer - we would like to help them with the financial part.
Please keep Nancy & her family in your prayers!
We will keep you updated as things progress.
Thank you!
Brian Hinson, Nancy's brother -in-law..
