Join Tina's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer~

In March, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer... this after losing 110 pounds taking Mounjaro in 2024 to be more healthy... go figure. I have actually lost 20 more pounds since March, which I did not need to lose. I have always been overweight and struggled with weight loss until now. Again, the irony... but hey, I may get a bikini this summer after all... lol.

I am undergoing chemo in hopes of shrinking the tumor for surgical removal. I have a great support team of family and friends and a wonderful team of doctors and providers at Vidant Cancer Center and Carteret Healthcare Raab Clinic. I will keep everyone posted as things move along, including an upcoming MRI to see if the chemo is doing what we want it to do.

Several friends suggested that I set up a fundraising page, so here we are. I am learning that my options for early retirement and disability are not that great. It will all work out, but I also want to make sure my family is not left with tons of medical bills and debt. I am currently working from home, and my employer has been totally supportive and gracious.
