Join Me in Advancing Dupuytren’s Disease Research
My name is Kurt Harrington, and I’m not only an advocate for Dupuytren’s disease research—I’m also a patient. Like millions of others, I’ve felt the frustrations and limitations of this condition firsthand. For my family, this fight is deeply personal; both my father and I live with Dupuytren’s disease. To date, my Dad and I have had 11 surgeries and 3 courses (30 treatments) of targeted radiation seeking to maintain hand function.
This isn’t just about statistics or research—it’s about real lives. It’s about the countless people who face this disease every day without effective treatments or hope for progress. That’s why I founded Ventoux Biosciences : to change the narrative for patients like us. I also founded the Hands of Change podcast to help raise awareness about this common, under-served, disease.
Why Your Support Matters | Planned Use of Funds
Dupuytren’s disease affects millions, yet research funding is limited. Further, many conditions have patient foundations to fund raise and provide grant funding to support early stage drug research; however, at present no foundations with this offering are in place for Dupuytren's disease.
We are determined to fill this gap, and we’re inviting you to join us. Your contributions will directly support a key proof-of-concept study using human disease tissue and our lead drug candidate VEN-201, as well as additional pipeline candidates. This study is a critical step in validating our approach and paving the way for new therapies. You can read more about this study and other plans here.
Building a Community of Change
In addition to funding this key study—this is about building a movement led by those who are directly impacted. Patients, caregivers, friends, and family all have a role to play in driving progress forward.
We’ve caught the attention of a collective of forward-thinking venture capital firms who believe in our mission and vision. However, they require the completion of this proof-of-concept study before they can invest. Additionally, while we are pursuing NIH grants, these can be difficult to receive particularly with recent budget reductions, making this community-driven fund an essential component to our success.
Let’s Make a Difference Together
This is where you come in. Every donation—no matter the size—brings us closer to the breakthrough we need. Every share of this campaign raises awareness. And every voice in our growing community makes it clear: we won’t wait for progress, we’ll create it.
Let’s show the world that Dupuytren’s patients and their allies are driving meaningful change. Together, we can build a brighter future for everyone impacted by this disease.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support means everything.
