Hello, my name is Alfred Ortiz, son of Maritza Ortiz. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during this incredibly difficult time.

On Tuesday, April 8th, my mother suffered a severe stroke that tragically left her brain unresponsive. After extensive care and consideration, we’ve come to the heartbreaking decision to proceed with funeral arrangements and cremation.

I am hoping to raise $10,000 to help cover the costs associated with giving my mother a proper farewell, including a viewing prior to cremation. This amount will go toward the funeral home services, transportation, preparation of her body, and cremation.

The service is planned to take place in Orange County, Upstate New York. A church location will be shared as soon as it’s confirmed.

If we are unable to reach the fundraising goal, we will proceed with a cremation and hold a memorial service at the church without a viewing. Regardless, we would be honored to have you join us in celebrating her life.
