Helping the Coté Family After Marc’s Life-Altering Accident
On Thursday, May 21st, our dear friend, Marc Coté, was involved in a devastating car accident in Austin, Texas while driving his beloved Patch truck. Both legs were shattered, and he suffered internal damage to his liver. The incredible news is that Marc's brain, neck, spine, and head-to-toe nerves are not affected - he is extremely lucky in that regard. His first leg surgery to install rods and pins to help realign the bones was on Friday, May 23rd. Surgery went well and we welcome your continued prayers for Marc's healing.
There are several procedures to go before anyone knows what life will look like after this, but we all know Marc can and will walk away from this. We are asking the community to band together and help the Coté family through this horrific event.
We’re raising funds to help with:
- Ongoing medical expenses, rehabilitation, and physical therapy
- Lost income while Marc recovers
- Childcare and household support
- Transportation and mobility equipment
- Possible home modifications to accommodate Marc’s needs
- Support for the entire family
Our starting goal is to raise $75,000 to help the Coté family stay afloat during this unimaginable time and ensure Marc has access to the care he needs, we will adjust as needed in the coming days when there is more news. If you’re able to give — any amount helps — please know your generosity is directly supporting a family in crisis. If you can’t donate, sharing this page with others is just as powerful.
Marc and Stanzie are wonderful people with a network of brilliant friends, and together we can bring forward the extensive help they will need to get their family through this. Thank you all for the kind words, prayers, thoughts, donations, ideas, and support. This is what it means when we say that it truly takes a village.
With heartfelt thanks,
Friends of the Coté family
