On April 16 after nearly 2 months of unusual symptoms, multiple doctor, ER and urgent visits, Teddy received the diagnosis that would change the course of his childhood. While leukemia is the most common pediatric cancer, what many do not know is that treatment lasts for a minimum of 2.5 years. He has shown the grace and resilience children are known for and he needs his team to continue to support him during this journey. There are so many ways to describe five-year old Teddy. He's energetic and loves to run around and jump onto the couch at all hours of the day. He's silly and will make bubble noises and sound effects that match whatever show he's watching. He's excited to learn and enjoys getting new Scholastic books as a surprise. He's empathic and will walk his baby sister through deep breathing when she gets upset. He's sweet and will randomly yell, "I love you!" and loves getting cuddles from mom and dad. Teddy also has B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, but that just one side to this warrior. #TeddysTeam.
