It’s hard to find the right words when someone you love faces the unthinkable. At only 32, Mayan was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer that has turned her world upside down in an instant.
Those who know Mayan know she’s the last person to ask for help, but she’s the first one to give it. As she starts this journey, the physical and emotional weight is heavy enough; we don’t want the financial burden to weigh her down, too. Mayan will have to go through surgeries, chemotherapy, freezing embryos, and IVF. Our goal is to give her the space to focus entirely on healing and being with her family.
The money donated will help cover the cost of embryo retrieval and genetic testing to select out the BRCA gene and future IVF, all of which are self-pay, medical bills, extra childcare, cold-capping during chemo (1-2k/month), and everything in between. Every donation makes a difference.
Whether you can donate or just share this page, please know how much your kindness means. Let's show Mayan she doesn’t have to fight this alone.
