Imagine not being able to sit for more than 5 minutes because the pain is so bad, Imagine not being able to drive in a car without excruciating pain. Imagine being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer when you are a healthy young woman. Well that is what Jennifer woke up to on December 12, 2019 while being treated for an abscess in the rectum.
THE DIAGNOSIS
Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Rectum with Metastasis to the Liver.

THE TREATMENT
A port will be placed in Jen's chest this week so chemo-therapies can begin. It will be 2x a month for 4 months, followed by 2 months of radiation and then surgery to clear out the lesions in the liver and cut out the malignancy. Also Jen has agreed to do genetic testing to help find a cure by tracking down the genetic identifiers so others will have a fighting chance!
THE STORY
As if hearing stage 4 cancer with metastasis is not scary enough..... Jen is unable to work during chemotherapy, hospitalizations, surgeries, and radiation is not more frightening than the cancer treatment but its just as scary .
Jen is a CPR & First Aid Instructor and always says, " I love what I do...my purpose in this world is to teach people to save lives!" In her spare time she spends time with her Autistic little sister guiding her through social situations and body language to help her blend in with others.

Jen is a beautiful human, those blessed to know her personally always find comfort knowing she will guide their paths in the right direction, be there to listen, to laugh, and someone who loves the fun in life. Jen is the giver of all givers, her favorite season is Christmas, it is the season of giving. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays please show this family some love and give the best gift of all HOPE.
Jen is hero and a role model to many, I know she is my hero and the inspiration I need to keep fighting as she does. Even in economic uncertainties it is an amazing accomplishment that her business Space Coast Heart Savers, Jen earns a very humble income, just enough to pay her bills while satisfying her entrepreneurial soul, she always living within her means.
Jen volunteers countless hours mentoring adults and children, literally changing the lives of young adults that were going down a wrong path for over 10 years in social services. She has successfully started social groups for autistic teenagers to improve social skills and served on the board of directors for Club Esteem for 5 years.
Without work, there is no income for monthly expenses, her community engagements such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, certainly no extra income for the cost associated with treatment, and the love of her life unfortunately was laid off a few months ago.
