Join Team DW: Support Danny White and His Family

Dear Friends and Family,

We are reaching out to you during this challenging time for our dear friend, Danny, who, as you may know, recently suffered a major stroke and is currently in the hospital. As we navigate this unexpected journey, we are asking for your support for Danny and his family.

He will be none too happy with us putting this page out there, but at this point, we just do not know what the future holds, and so many of you have reached out to find out what you can do to help.

Danny is a devoted single father to Casey & Addison, a cherished “LTBB” to his mother & sister, and a longtime friend to so many. He has always been the first to lend a helping hand and offer his support to others in need. Now, it's our turn to rally around him. The road to recovery is long and filled with uncertainties, including extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and the emotional toll that this has taken on the family. His mother will be moving here from Dallas to be with Addison as she wraps up her senior year in high school, while Casey returns to JMU.

Danny has been in the hospital, in and out of intensive care, for the last four weeks.

As he has stabilized medically, the hopes are that he will soon be transferring to the first in-patient rehab facility. While Danny is working hard toward recovery and unable to work, we want to ease some of the stress of the mounting medical expenses by raising money for the White family as they adjust to this new reality.

UPDATE as of 2/4/25:

Danny has arrived at The Sheltering Arms Institute of Richmond.

Now starts the second phase of his recovery. Danny will have to dig deep on an hourly basis to battle back.

We cannot thank everyone enough for the love and support you have shown Danny and his family. It is heartwarming to see the contributions from so many, from every aspect of Danny’s life.

Danny’s sister, Julie Moore, has been named as the beneficiary.

She will be handling Danny’s finances for the foreseeable future, along with her husband, Kirk.
