Join Team Alan Vanthuyne

As many friends and family know, Alan began his battle with cancer in August, 2021. He was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer that had migrated to his liver and was not given much good news from his medical providers. Alan has fought with courage and determination, following an extremely disciplined regiment of diet, exercise and 22 (and counting) cycles of grueling chemotherapy treatments. This commitment surprised the doctors and resulted in enough progress for him to be able to receive colon resection surgery in the Spring of 2022. The surgery required that Alan stop his chemo treatments for a couple months, which has resulted in the cancer making a comeback. He is exploring all possible treatment options, and it appears that this will take him out of the public health system, and into the private sector. Alan is consulting with the Mayo Clinic and Integrative Oncology Clinics within the United States.

We are looking to raise funds to help subsidize the associated consultation, treatment, and travel costs. Alan has asked for nothing but prayers and optimism to date. It is now that we would like to support him in the next stage of his battle.
