Join Tate's Fight: Critical Health Decline

Hello family and friends! I am setting up a GoFundMe on behalf of Tate.

On Monday, March 24th, 2025, Tate will be admitted to the hospital for intense medical care. We are unsure of the length of time Tate will be in the hospital; there are discussions with his doctors that this admission may need to be possibly a month long, or longer. Tate is experiencing severe weight loss; he's currently 120 pounds, which is a shocking sight, honestly, and there are discussions of Tate needing a feeding tube when admitted. Tate's lung function has dropped from 100% at the end of Oct 2024 to currently 52%. He is struggling to sit and maintain relaxed breathing; any physical activity causes him to gasp for air. His CF doctor and team have tried multiple things to try and get Tate healthy, but unfortunately, nothing has worked. They are confused and concerned about how quickly Tate's health has deteriorated. We all are concerned and worried. They have said that Tate is in the Extreme Danger Zone and is quickly approaching the Scary Zone with his health. With his current health, IF he needed a lung transplant, he would be denied.

It is no longer safe for Tate to continue to work until we get his health back under control. We are coming together to help Tate make sure his health is the priority and try to relieve the stress of bills (rent, utilities, insurance) and medical bills. We are also trying to help get him a Volara, which is a machine that is three respiratory therapies in one that helps expand his airways, dislodge mucus, and allows for nebulizer medicine to be more effective. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket cost is $4000.
