Join Tara in Saving Teddy's Life

Hi , My name is Debbie. I am the mother of Tara who has gotten Teddy (her newer sickly puppy from Puppy Boutique in Brooklyn) to help in getting over the loss of her Yorkie TeeJay at the early age of 8. TeeJay suffered a brain tumor after extensive testing and late diagnosis. He came home same day and suffered his first and only seizure which took his life. He had to be put down. A few days after, to find some consoling, Tara purchased a puppy and we called him Teddy. He has been treated several times for parasites, coming straight from purchasing from Puppy Boutique. Those treatments have ruined his digestive tract and has now affected him on a cyclical basis. Teddy becomes dehydrated, lethargic, non responsive, won't eat and stays to himself finding a dark place to lay. Of course we do not let him stay this way and every 2 weeks of so take him to the vet. These visits are phenomenal for Tara who is not working at this time. She has been waiting 4 years for social security, and now has a federal case. Tara has spent over 5-6,000 on Teddy's care already. He's had to be hydrated 3 times alone. Blood tests, x-rays, sonograms, antibiotics, gastro medications, etc. Tara also pays her own rent, and has tried to kick off a business of hand crafting personalized ornaments, cups, glasses, coasters, air fresheners etc. Unfortunately, the world has become all around expensive, and people rarely buy gifts. It's with great difficulty even more so, trying to keep up with Pet insurance and Teddys medical bills. The insurance company has not reimbursed much of anything, as they are confused as to why Teddy must be hydrated, given and antinausea injection, Pepcid and probiotics. Teddy is also on prescription food. This alone is 160.00 per month. I help Tara as much as possible, but this has put a financial strain on all of us, besides mentally and physically.

Tara is in need of a healthy companion dog for mental and physical health reasons. What she got was a very sickly dog, and medical bills. We, especially Tara, love Teddy, and would never ever think of abandoning him at a shelter or worse, putting him to sleep. At this date, he is only 9 months old. He is the sweetest, loving, smart playful dog (when feeling well) and we cry at the thought of ever leaving him. We just need your kindness and consideration to help this little guy medically and financially. If you can find it in your heart to help Tara and her little unhealthy unfortunate companion, we would so greatly appreciate it. Tara has been devastated twice in less than a year. Her first little companion died in October 10/23 and the same month she got Teddy and though he is sweet, he is very ill. His medical bills have taken over our bank accounts. The insurance company wants a definite diagnosis before reimbursing any monies laid out, but not one veterinarian can give one. We are being referred to a Vet Internist and with prayers and your help, we can find the cure or proper medical care for Teddy. Please Please help.
