✈️ From the Airline Crew Community With Love and Support for Jamaica

Hi everyone,

My name is Tamara Barton, and I am a flight attendant deeply connected to the beautiful island of Jamaica, my home. Born and raised in the parish of St. James. Recently, Hurricane Melissa devastated communities across the island, leaving families without homes, clean water, food, clothing, and basic necessities. Many of our loved ones are still without power, access to medical supplies, and safe shelter.

As members of the airline and aviation community, and native Jamaican, along with other Jamaican flight attendants , we are used to being the helping hands in times of crisis. We take people to safety, deliver aid, and show up when the world needs us. Today, I am asking for your support so that together, we can show up for Jamaica.

This GoFundMe is a crew-led initiative to collect funds and supplies that will go directly toward:

• Essential items like water, food, clothing, and medical supplies

• Support for families who have lost homes and belongings

• Shipping costs and logistics to deliver these items to Jamaica

We spend our lives lifting others into the sky…

Now, let’s help lift Jamaica back onto its feet.

All monies donated will be used to get devices to help with powering small remote communities. Such aa their phones and other electronics. WiFi devices such as starlink internet as it cost over $400 for each.

We will also purchase solar devices to use for providing lighting as 90 percent of the island is without electricity.

You can also make purchases from stores in the Atlanta metro area. I will personally pick them up, pack, and ship them.

Whether from Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's, or Target.

The Jamaican community will be appreciative of all your contributions.

I will ship larger items and I will personally fly with immediate supplies such as food, medical supplies, and hygiene supplies.
