Hi! I'm Taika's mom! Or as many of you know me, Kim.

My husband Peter and I have the greatest honor in the world of caring for Taika and his brother Remy. We got Taika in the spring of 2019, and it has been all dogs all the time ever since! Taika is the reason Peter started his career in professional dog training, and Taika helped me learn to love the outdoors. Those of you who have been privileged enough to have Taika demand you throw the ball for him know that he is loud, loving, and he MUST play ball. Like... all the time.

Lately, Taika has been dealing with a cancerous tumor on his side. It grew very fast, and the doctors are stumped as to why. Our best course of action is to get most of it removed, and then start him on chemotherapy for whatever is left behind. This is going to put us in the realm of $8,000, and that is just for surgery. Not to mention aftercare, and then chemotherapy treatment.

Additionally, at the top of April, we had to say goodbye to my soulmate cat, Orion. The care he received put us in debt to the tune of $13,000. Basically... we are staring down the barrel of a $21,000 debt, and we just don't know what to do.

We just lost Orion, and I can't bear to take risks with Taika's health just because of the cost. With your help, we can get Taika the care he needs to continue to live his very best life!
