On Wednesday, November 27th, Steve took himself to the emergency room. He had been experiencing some testicular pain and discomfort. He was greeted quickly with terrifying news that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
On an ensuing scan the doctors found that the cancer had also traveled to his lungs where they located multiple masses.
On November 29th Steve had surgery to remove the affected testicle as it needed to be sent off for a biopsy. When the news returned Steve was officially diagnosed with Embryonal Testicular Cancer. He has since had a port placed and began chemotherapy earlier this week.

The process will be tough moving forward. Steve will go through chemo 5 days a week with sessions that are between 4-6 hours long. After 2 weeks he will receive an injection and the process will restart. If everything goes to plan he will be in chemotherapy for 9-10 weeks. At this point it is our hope that he will be diagnosed cancer free.

Unfortunately in a situation like this, with the amount of tests, injections, treatments, and other out of work expenses, the Soloway family could use all of the help that they can get.

While we know that money can be tight, especially this time of year, we are asking for any help that can be given. No amount is too small and every donation would be appreciated immensely. This is a family that we can attest to would be grateful for anything including keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
