My name is Desiree Lara and I’m writing this on behalf of my father in law Steve Lara. Our lives were turned upside down when my mother in law Elly Lara was diagnosed with lung cancer a third time in spring of 2023. She had previously fought and won against cancer twelve years ago, and again six years ago, after multiple rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Elly has put up a fight this past year and on June 12th was admitted into ICU with respiratory failure. We learned her cancer spread into her lymph nodes and the lining of both lungs . June 15th her and the family agreed hospice care will be the best place for her to live out her remaining days . We are blessed to have a strong family structure lead by my father Steve , my sisters Stephanie , Christina and Jason. She has chose her ending to be surrounded with her grandbabiies , son in laws and daughter in laws holding her hand. We are asking for support to help offset the medical bills incurred and help my father with funeral costs . Elly’s faith will help guide her home and we are overwhelmed with the amount of support she has been given . We thank you for keeping us in your prayers.
