Help Support Sophia’s Fight Against Germ Cell Ovarian Cancer
Hello everyone,
As most of you know, our beloved niece Sophia was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Germ Cell Ovarian Cancer. She had just turned 15 years old on June 15th, and just days after her birthday, she bravely underwent surgery.
While we’re still waiting on some results, we do know that Sophia will need to undergo chemotherapy. Because of how rare this cancer is—and due to her young age—Sophia may need to travel from our local area to Boston, Massachusetts, where they have the specialized pediatric cancer care she needs. Unfortunately, local hospitals simply aren’t equipped to handle her treatment.
This devastating diagnosis marks the third case of cancer on her dad’s side in three years, and the second on her mom’s. No child should ever have to go through this, but Sophia is facing it with incredible courage.
We are reaching out for help to support Sophia and her parents through this difficult journey. Your donations will go toward:
Travel expenses to and from Boston, MA
Lodging near the hospital
Meals and basic needs during extended stays
Lost wages, as her parents will be taking time off work
And anything else needed as they focus on getting Sophia well again
Whether you can give financially, pray for her, or simply share this page, every bit of support helps.
Thank you all for lifting up Sophia and our family during this incredibly difficult time. We are deeply grateful.
Please feel free to share and tag anyone who might want to help.
With love and appreciation,
Sophia’s Family
